The Junior Nationals!

The Junior Nationals were held in Salt Lake City last week.
Livvy Shilling competed in Intermediate Ladies. She came in 12th in the qualifying round.

Jonathan Butler competed in Juvenile Men.
Jonathan came in 10th in the qualifying round. He went on to the final round and placed 16th.
Linsey Ream, a Columbus resident skater who competed in Juvenile Girls at the Junior Nationals, placed 16th in the Qualifing round. Lindsay is a member of the Strongsville FSC.

Regionals Luncheon



The annual CFSC Regionals Luncheon was held on Sunday, October 3, at Champs in Easton. This fun event is, along with the Regionals Exhibition, a send off for the CFSC skaters competing at Eastern Great Lakes Regional Figure Skating Championships. This year's Regional Championship was held in Franklin, TN, October 8-12.

CFSC Skaters Exhibit Skills on Ice

Nineteen local figure skaters took to the ice at OSU Ice Rink this past Sunday to exhibit the programs which they will compete at the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Figure Skating Championships in Franklin, TN, October 8-12. Two of the twenty-one skaters from Central Ohio who will compete at EGL Regionals were unable to attend the Exhibition. The Columbus Figure Skating Club sponsors this annual Exhibition to allow families and friends of skaters to view the programs which will be skated at the Regional Championships.

Skaters participating in the CFSC Exhibition September 26 include:

Aliyah Cohen, Marissa Del Matto and Alexie Mieskowski, who all skate at the Novice level.

Anya Cohen, Laura Klein, Alex Magnuson, and Livvy Shilling, who all skate at the Intermediate level.

Rachel Bachman, Jonathan Butler, Vivian Chen, Megan Cordle, Morgan Morrison, and Jacqueline Tu, who all skate at the Juvenile level.

Darla Holland and Laura Stegner, who skate at the Open Juvenile level.

Rebecca Dashevsky, Samantha Katz and Sarah-Cait Knott, who all skate at the Pre-Juvenile level.

CFSC wins Troy Trophy


The Columbus Figure Skating Club won the team trophy for total points at the Troy competition this past weekend. This result reflects the contributions of everyone from the very top level to the Basic Skills skaters. Congratulations to you all. Our coaches also deserve recognition for their important contributions to the development of our skaters. Thank you all.
